Polystyrene (EPS) based on polystyrene resin as main ingredients, through the foam, molded in
to a closed pore structure of foams. Extruded plate (XPS) or its copolymer based on polystyrene resin as the main ingredient, adding a small amount of additives, the extruded by heating and with obdurate structure made of rigid foam material.
EPS and XPS exterior insulation system
XPS heat conduction coefficient is smaller than EPS, and has high heat resistance, low linear, low expansion ratio, the characteristics of the structure of the obdurate rate reached more than 99%, the formation of a vacuum layer, avoid air flow cooling, to ensure that the insulation performance of lasting and stable, compared with the 80% EPS obdurate rate, lead is self-evident. Practice has proved a 30 mm thick XPS insulation board,
the heat preservation effect of 50 mm thick EPS insulation board, 120 mm thick cements prelate. So, in order to achieve the same effect of heat preservation, XPS insulation thickness can be thinner than EPS around 30%. But as a result of XPS EPS is the price of 2 times the left and right sides, so the economy is not as good as EPS of XPS.
2, thermal stability:
According to the national standard for testing (100 x 100 x the original thick, 48 h under 70 ℃), the current domestic use (including foreign) XPS deformation of 1.2% or so, and EPS within
0.5%, so using XPS board outside the building exterior insulation system and the protection of the mortar coating is easy to crack. And EPS has good weather resistance and dimensional stability when the temperature changes, is the most widely used international and domestic building external wall thermal insulation material.
Because of the different production process, EPS porosity is larger than XPS, namely EPS insulation board surface roughness than XPS, but because of this, plus the EPS density is small, EPS board can be viscous than XPS. Although it has also appeared in construction market XPS plate of the skin of the plane, but required by the relevant interface agent and XPS heat preservation industry standard line there is no standard or landmark. XPS board commonly so insulated facade is easy to crack, empty drum, fall off.
