INTCO recycling helps relieve our environmental pressure by Styrofoam recycling

If we can recycle Styrofoam cups, will this make single-use products no longer an environmental problem?

Holidays and entertainment result in a greater use of Styrofoam products, commonly known as Styrofoam cups, plates and containers. Nowadays, the accelerated pace of life leads to the development of fast food and takeout industries. However, rapid expanding consumption of Styrofoam products makes disposable waste disposal a problem.

"Garbage is a poison to all. Believe it or not, by 2050, our oceans will have more plastic trash than actual fish. In fact, the United States throws out 25 billion Styrofoam coffee cups every year, " Nikita wrote. "This doesn’t even include Styrofoam or waste outside America."

Actually Styrofoam products are recyclable. However, few recycling facilities accept it because Styrofoam recycling is considered to be not cost-effective.

In most facilities, recycling is measured and valued by ton. Unfortunately, since Styrofoam is so light and bulky, it’s difficult for facilities to manage all that Styrofoam waste, it takes up larger storage spaces and creates more transportation costs.

According to Washington University, Styrofoam takes over 500 years to decompose, so the Styrofoam cups dumped in landfills will be there for a long time. Styrofoam products fill up 30% of our landfill space, and landfills are fast becoming full.

In order to recycle Styrofoam effectively and prevent environmental pollution, INTCO recycling has designed a screw compactor for Styrofoam recycling. The principle of the equipment is relatively simple, the Styrofoam waste will be firstly crushed into small pieces, and then compressed out as solid blocks. Due to high density and molding, the compressed Styrofoam will be easier to transport.

INTCO recycling provides a more effective way for Styrofoam recycling, this is a good opportunity for the recycling industry, and it also relieves our environmental pressure.
