A New Appliance of Recycled Polystyrene in Ohio: the Safety Helmet

Epsilyte is a producer of insulation materials. The company has been investing in polystyrene recycling for the past two years, acquiring a factory in Ohio in May 2021 and vigorously growing its polystyrene recycling business. At this factory, Epsilyte processes waste polystyrene through a series of recycling processes and finally turns it into pellets, which are used to make safety helmets.

Polystyrene is a recyclable material. This view has now gradually been accepted by most people and fabricators. Epsilyte is visionary. Recycled polystyrene is widely used. The commonly recycled polystyrene pellets are widely used in picture frames, home decoration, and other industries. Now Epsilyte is seeing a growing demand for recycled polystyrene in the safety helmet market. That's because the European Union and other environmental groups are encouraging recycled plastics to be more applied.

Where does Epsilyte's waste polystyrene come from? Following the old production method, Epsilyte arranged for 12 trailers to collect waste polystyrene at the gate of the manufacturing plant within a certain range. After the trailer is filled with polystyrene, it is driven to Epsilyte's factory, where it undergoes a series of polystyrene recycling operations into pellets and finally become safety helmets. Timbers, Epsilyte's chief sustainability officer, said he will continue the polystyrene recycling business and work toward a goal of recycling 4 million pounds of polystyrene by 2025.

Epsilyte expressed their determination to recycle polystyrene and also confirmed that polystyrene recycling is a business worthy of a lot of investment. Epsilyte sets a good example for other manufacturers. From polystyrene waste to polystyrene pellets, there is a necessary and important process. The polystyrene waste is crushed by a polystyrene crusher, then compressed into ingots by a polystyrene recycling machine, and finally formed into particles by a pelletizing machine. INTCO Recycling can provide GREENMAX polystyrene recycling machines to help customers solve recycling problems. In addition, INTCO Group has formed a complete recycling process, including the entire transformation process of "polystyrene--pieces--ingots--pellets--new plastic products". Rich recycling experience and a strong team can quickly build trust with customers. If you encounter any difficulties in the process of recycling polystyrene, please contact us.
