It's no secret EPS is devastating to the environment. But, do you know how exactly that is so?

Polystyrene made from petroleum is non-biodegradable because decomposition takes thousands of years. Despite these well-known facts, the French Ministry of Ecology stated that humans are still investing more than 14 million tons of EPS trash in landfills each year.

In fact, according to research, in addition to marine life that is swallowing microplastics, humans are also ingesting plastic equivalent to a credit card each year, which is unacceptable. Thankfully, an EPS producer in Greece has clearly agreed.



EPS will produce a large amount of EPS trash in the production process. If traditional waste disposal methods are used, landfill or incineration will cause long-term environmental pollution. The hot-melt screw of EPS densifier can squeeze out the air contained in the EPS, and the EPS ingot produced is similar to a solid brick, and its volume ratio to EPS waste can reach 90: 1, reducing storage space, improving transportation efficiency, and reducing recycling costs.



What this solution is most satisfying EPS producers is not the clean warehouse after using the machine, nor the lower transportation costs, but the service of INTCO, which can turn EPS ingots into profits. INTCO promises that manufacturers will use the obtained EPS ingots for the production of photo frames and the like.
