It has been 7 years since Foam Recycling Coalition has begun awarded organizations that started foam recycling programs or wanted to improve foam recycling effects. More than $1 million was distributed to 24 organizations or recycling centers, mostly through donations from companies and individuals who focus on waste foam recycling.



The Foam Recycling Coalition (FRC) aims to promote foam recycling, particularly to support the increased recycling of foodservice packaging made from foam. To achieve this, the FRC has been providing interested organizations with up-to-date foam recycling information, as well as funding grants. In addition to encouraging the recycling of foam foodservice packaging (i.e. cups, plates, bowls, etc.), the FRC is also encouraging more foam products to be recycled, such as foam packaging and boxes.

FRC plans to add 9 grantees and 250,000 dollars in 2022. It can be estimated that over 3 million people will acquire the chance of foam recycling.
