It becomes more common to recycle EPS foam fish packaging

EPS (expanded polystyrene) fish boxes are often used as packaging for transporting and storing fresh fish due to their superior thermal insulation. Despite the misconception that most foam fish boxes end up in landfills, it is actually becoming more common to recycle EPS foam fish packaging.

In the Thy-Mors FLAG area, one of Denmark's largest fishing ports, about 150 tons of EPS waste produced each year, equivalent to 8,500 cubic meters. In Denmark, some EPS waste is converted into insulation, but its added value is limited and may be toxic when burned. Instead, the EPS fish boxes in FLAG are usually compressed into large cubes and shipped to southern Europe for reprocessing.

In fact, loose EPS fish boxes can be crushed and melted by GREENMAX EPS hot melting machine, and you will get dense EPS blocks which is 90 times smaller than the original volume. These EPS ingots will be processed into PS pellets and reused in new foam products production.

In Europe, the scientists manning the project hope to reduce the dumping of EPS boxes by 80%, turning the waste into a valuable resource in an environmentally friendly and economical way!

Denmark has done well in EPS foam recycling. According to the survey, the Danish industry has a strong demand for various applications (a wide variety of plastic objects). Seize the opportunity to generate some real added value from EPS waste and obtain FLAG funding.

There are many options for foam melting machines on the market, but as an EPS recycling specialist, INTCO recycling has the absolute advantage of purchasing back compressed EPS foam ingots. We offer a total solution to EPS recycling, and accept any consults regarding waste EPS recycling. At present, GREENMAX EPS hot melting machine has a high reputation in Europe, America and even in the global market. We are committed to contributing to global EPS recycling.
