GREENMAX foam densifier helps the Tacoma Recycling Center in Washington recover foam from residential sources
An important client of GREENMAX is a recycling center from Tacoma. They found out about GREENMAX many years ago through a Google search. At first, they learned about our business model. GREENMAX is a machinery brand under INTCO Recycling. We not only provide foam densifiers but also buy back waste materials, offering complete foam recycling solutions. Initially, this client wanted to sell compressed material to us, but later the cooperation did not materialize because the factory's cold press machine broke down, forcing the project to be suspended.
Recently, they reached out to us: due to the increasing amount of foam waste from the source of life at the recycling center, there is about 40 cubic yards every two days. Although there are local recyclers who collect this waste, their collection and transportation are not timely, and their own capacity is limited. Additionally, customers’ old machines, which have been in use for many years, cannot keep up with the pace, and some of the waste has to be sent to landfill. As the largest recycling center in Tacoma, they hope to find a more environmentally friendly and efficient foam recycling solution.
After visiting the client in person and gaining a deep understanding of their needs, we recommended foam densifier M-C200E for them and completed UL certification for the entire machine, making it more compliant with local regulations. More importantly, this recycling center not only receives EPS foam, but because household waste is very mixed, there is also EPE foam, which can also be recycled with this foam densifier. The foam densifier not only has sufficient capacity and is easy to operate, but its principle is similar to the old machine they used before, making it very easy to get started. Even more importantly, we can purchase the processed foam directly to make photo frames, achieving closed-loop EPS recycling and truly helping them put their environmental protection concept into practice.
When the foam densifier was first delivered, supervisor Lisa was amazed by it—the exquisite design and craftsmanship left her full of praise, and she affectionately called it 'her baby.' To make this new equipment even more striking, they even painted beautiful scenic pictures on the little house where the machine was placed, both aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching. Seeing such a scene, we are also happy to have been able to support our customer's environmental efforts by finding the right foam recycling solution.
