4 Types of EPP Densifiers – Which One Fits Your EPP Recycling Solution Best?
EPP (expanded polypropylene) is a lightweight, durable, and recyclable foam material widely used in automotive parts, protective packaging for electronics, thermal boxes, and appliance packaging. Today, EPP recycling has become a key focus in the industry.
To improve the efficiency of EPP waste recycling and reuse, GREENMAX has developed four different models of EPP densifiers, offering a complete process from foam volume reduction to high-density block formation.

Apolo Series – Screw Compression, Easy Operation | Compression Ratio 50:1
The GreenMax Apolo EPP compactor uses a pure screw compression system that continuously presses EPP foam, reducing its volume to 1/50 of the original size.
Advantages:
• Easy to operate, low energy consumption — processes 100 kg of waste per hour with less than 11 kW.
• Significant volume reduction and low maintenance cost.
• Purely physical compression — the most eco-friendly expanded polypropylene recycling solution.
• The physical properties of the compressed blocks remain unchanged, allowing use for food-grade recycled products.
Disadvantages:
• The block density is relatively low, resulting in higher unit transport costs when shipped by container.

Zeus Series – Screw Compression + Surface Melting | Compression Ratio 50:1
The GreenMax Zeus EPP densifier combines screw compression with a surface heating system that melts the outer layer of the foam during compression, creating more stable and solid blocks with low energy consumption. This foam recycling machine achieves a 50:1 compression ratio.
Advantages:
• More stable and compact blocks, less likely to loosen.
• Cleaner appearance, making transport and storage in EPP recycling easier.
Disadvantages:
• More complex structure, with slightly higher maintenance costs than the Apolo EPP compactor.
• The block density is lower, making transportation less cost-effective.

Mars Series – Three-Stage High-Temperature Melting System | Compression Ratio 90:1
The GreenMax Mars foam recycling machine uses high-temperature melting technology with three independently controlled heating chambers, which completely melt and extrude EPP foam into high-density blocks (90:1) for easier pelletizing.
Advantages:
• Best volume reduction; in expanded polypropylene recycling, it offers the lowest logistics cost and is preferred by pellet manufacturers.
• High purity of recycled material, suitable for deep reprocessing and reuse.
• Very easy to operate with simple start/stop and temperature control buttons for EPP recycling.
Disadvantages:
• High-temperature heating may produce some odor (the GreenMax Mars EPP densifier is CE and SGS certified, ensuring no harm to health or the environment).
• The heating chambers reach high temperatures, so operators should handle them with care.

Hydraulic Series – High-Pressure Hydraulic Compression | Compression Ratio 70:1
The GreenMax Hydraulic EPP compactor applies high pressure directly to the foam through a hydraulic system, achieving fast and dense compression.
Advantages:
• Strong compression force, suitable for high-strength foams or mixed materials.
• Stable operation and high compaction efficiency.
• No heating required—more eco-friendly while still achieving high volume reduction.
• Does not affect the physical properties of the compressed blocks, suitable for producing food-grade or other high-end recycled products.
Disadvantages:
• Large equipment size, requiring more floor space.
• Generates higher noise levels during the EPP recycling process.

Multiple Capacity Options to Meet Different Expanded Polypropylene Recycling Needs
The GreenMax foam recycling machine series offers a variety of capacity options to meet the recycling needs of businesses of all sizes:
• 50 kg/h Mini Model: Compact and easy to install, ideal for small warehouses or community recycling stations handling daily packaging waste.
• 100–200 kg/h Medium Model: Stable performance and medium capacity, suitable for most logistics centers and packaging companies.
• 300 kg/h Large Model: High-efficiency output, perfect for professional recyclers and large packaging manufacturers.
With multiple EPP densifier models from GreenMax, companies can choose the most suitable solution based on their recycling volume and available space, achieving efficient, systematic, and profitable expanded polypropylene recycling.
From lightweight foam to high-value recycled blocks, GREENMAX helps turn EPP waste into true profit through a sustainable green cycle.
