Efficient Aluminum Can Recycling Solution Toward Sustainable Production

During the beverage production process, some defective aluminum canned drinks are inevitably produced. Traditional manual sorting and handling methods are inefficient and costly. Therefore, beverage manufacturers need a more suitable aluminum can recycling solution.

Aluminum cans are a recyclable resource. By simply separating the beverage from the container, the material can be sold directly to downstream recyclers, helping recover production losses. In addition, to improve transportation efficiency during recycling, the materials should be properly compacted to reduce volume and lower logistics costs.

GreenMax plastic dewatering machine is specially designed for full beverage can recycling, efficiently meeting these recycling needs and helping the beverage industry move toward a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.

This aluminum can compactor performs both dewatering and compression in a single machine. It can handle not only aluminum cans but also PET bottles and shampoo containers. GreenMax beverage can dewatering machine has successfully helped Pepsi Thailand and L’Oréal Egypt recycle their defective full beverage cans.

When the containers enter the machine’s feeding port, they are continuously compressed by the screw, causing the beverage to separate from the cans. The liquid then flows into the dewatering chamber of the plastic dewatering machine and collects in the stainless steel water tray below.

This tray is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, capable of withstanding low-pH beverage liquids and extending the machine’s lifespan. In addition, the GreenMax aluminum can compactor features multiple outlet connections on the tray, allowing it to be linked with drainage pipes for environmentally friendly liquid discharge.

Under continuous screw pressure, the aluminum cans discharge most of their liquid in the dewatering chamber and are then pushed into the compaction chamber. Here, the passage gradually narrows, compressing the material to one-tenth of its original volume. Finally, the cans exit through an upward-sloped outlet, designed to prevent residual beverage from being carried out and to further remove moisture—ensuring more complete full beverage can recycling.

In addition, GreenMax constantly monitors customer feedback to continuously optimize and upgrade the plastic dewatering machine, making the aluminum can recycling process more efficient and thorough. For example, we plan to extend the length of the dewatering chamber to further improve the drainage performance of beverage packaging.

The upgraded aluminum can compactor maintains low energy consumption while significantly increasing dewatering efficiency, resulting in drier and lighter aluminum cans that are easier to transport and store.

These processed aluminum blocks can be directly sold to downstream recyclers, helping beverage manufacturers recover production losses, reduce waste costs, achieve true resource recycling, and generate considerable economic benefits.

Using the GreenMax plastic dewatering machine not only significantly improves production line efficiency but also helps companies build a complete aluminum can recycling system, actively fulfilling their environmental and carbon reduction responsibilities. It’s an important step toward sustainable production.
